NYGFL 2008

Happy New Year All! We're looking forward to an exciting new season. With that in mind, here's a breakdown of the NYGFL 2008 Spring Season important dates:

Pre Registration
January 28th - February 10th (for returning players from either of the past two seasons - Spring 2007 and Fall 2007)

Open Registration
February 11th until filled (for all new and returning players)

League Party At Molly's Apartment in East Village
Saturday evening, February 16th

Open Practice - Chelsea Waterside Field
February 23rd - 4 to 6 pm - attendance for new players is mandatory

Player Draft
February 24th (captains and board members)

Announcement of Team Rosters - League Social
February 24th - time and location to be determined

Practice Weekend
March 1-2

Regular Season Games
Week 1: March 8-9
Week 2: March 15-16
Week 3: March 22-23
Week 4: March 29-30
Week 5: April 5-6
Week 6: April 12-13
Week 7: April 19-20
Week 8: April 26-27

Practice / Make-up Weekend
May 3-4

Playoffs
May 10-11 First and second rounds May 17-18 Semifinals / Championship Game

End of Season Party
May 18

Note: Several holidays occur during weekends in the spring including Passover, Easter and Mother's Day. Because of field and scheduling constraints, some games will likely be played on all of these holidays.
