September 22nd Board Meeting

BOX - Offense must pick up markers and hand to line judge

Still need referee volunteers - Matt Bernardo to remind captains

Sponsor Committee - David Smith sent email to board with contact sponsors. David proposes formation of committee. He spoke to ESPN about them helping with outreach and developmental programs for the league. Corey Johnson and Mike Pinelli are on the committee as well. Cyd proposed we include sponsoring of the gay Super Bowl in the committee.

Any grant writers out there want to help draft proposal?

Equipment Team - we need at least one volunteer from each team to help carry and keep track of flags, cones, etc.

Referee Meetings - Mike P. is coordinating the refs in Mike C's absence. He will send schedule and meeting time to refs and captains and also ask captains if it is okay if refs can attend their practices to work on and train in block/rushing and deflagging drills.

Zero Tolerance Policy on complaints to referees.
Captains must tell players NOT to talk to refs during the game.

Mike C. is ordering referee shirts.

Tim will meet with Ralph on social committee happenings.

The board is considering adding two officers for a total of 8.
The board will define their current positions in preparation for upcoming elections so people can see if they are interested in running for office.

Social Committee - Ralph Caruso is Fall Chairperson - he will hold meetings every other Wed. He sent out update on the committee's first proceedings this past Wed.

Board needs budget proposal of calendar.
Cyd will make budget decisions in Mike C's absence.

Cyd wrote proposal detailing penalties for unsportmanlike behavior.
Captains must instruct their teams on proper rushing, blocking, penalties.

Review Board is currently made up of Cyd, Mike C and Bill. If one or more of them feels they cannot report objectively on any given situation, they will recuse themselves; and the board will appoint replacements (board must approve of person(s) unanimously).

New date of open board meeting at the Center to be set.

Jerseys are ordered. No estimated time of arrival at this point.

Rushing rule: As soon as rusher crosses line of scrimmage the box vanishes and defense can rush the quarterback.
